About this Cat
HISTORY: BUSTER was an FIV positive stray when rescued by a kind-hearted neighbor who saw that he needed food and shelter. TEMPERAMENT: BUSTER was initially taken to a shelter. Because they assumed he was feral, the shelter planned to return him to where he was found. But his rescuer could see that BUSTER was really just very, very scared and in need of time to adjust. He was transferred to F&F where he quickly learned to trust his caregivers. Within two months, he was rubbing against visitors, seeking head rubs and attention. He is still getting comfortable with being picked up. BUSTER has shown himself to be a friendly guy, with both human and felines friends, and he's ready for an indoor-only home of his very own. BUSTER needs to be fed a urinary diet. AGE: born approx. 11/27/2021 MICROCHIP #: -7124 DATE OF STERILIZATION: 11/27/24 VAX RECORD: FVRCP expires: 2/21/2026; Rabies expires: 11/27/25 FELV/FIV test: 11/27/24, 3/30/25 FIV+ ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: As is typical with many FIV+ cats, BUSTER is expected to live a normal lifespan. While conventional thinking is to only place an FIV+ cat in a home with no other cats or with another FIV+ cat, there are many “mixed households.” According to Cornell University, the primary mode of Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) transmission is through repeated fights resulting in the exchange of blood, and it poses no threat to humans or other species. If you would like more information on FIV, educational materials can be requested by emailing [email protected]. Contribute to Buster's Stash!

100% of Buster's balance will be sent to whoever adopts Buster.
Adopt Buster and Receive Buster's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Buster's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Buster's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Buster, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Buster's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Buster was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Buster’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Buster’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Buster’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
