About this Cat
HISTORY: HEATHCLIFF came to Felines & Friends when found to be FIV+. However, as is typical with many FIV+ cats, this cat has no symptoms, is in excellent health and expected to live a normal lifespan. While conventional thinking is to only place an FIV+ cat in a home with no other cats or with another FIV+ cat, there are many “mixed households.” According to Cornell University, the primary mode of Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) transmission is through repeated fights resulting in the exchange of blood, and it poses no threat to humans or other species. TEMPERAMENT: HEATHCLIFF is a handsome orange tabby who arrived at Felines & Friends with an injured tail and an FIV+ test result. This shy boy has now fully recovered and is ready for a cushy indoor life in a new forever home. His foster mom reports that HEATHCLIFF is a "chirper" who enjoys chatting with his person. He welcomes her whenever she enters his room, where he spends a long time rubbing on chairs and sometimes legs. HEALTHCIFF likes to play and loves to pounce. He is currently working up the courage to try head rubs. HEATHCLIFF needs a patient adopter willing to give him time to trust. AGE: born approx. 10/25/2021 MICROCHIP #: -1277 DATE OF STERILIZATION: 10/25/24 VAX RECORD: FVRCP #1: 10/25/24, FVRCP #2: 11/16/24; FVRCP expires: 11/16/25; Rabies expires: 10/25/25 FELV/FIV test: 10/25/24 FIV+ ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: ADOPTION FEE: $100 If you may be interested in adopting, please complete our online application: https://www.fandfnm.org/application. Contribute to Heathcliff's Stash!

100% of Heathcliff's balance will be sent to whoever adopts Heathcliff.
Adopt Heathcliff and Receive Heathcliff's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Heathcliff's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Heathcliff's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Heathcliff, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Heathcliff's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Heathcliff was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Heathcliff’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Heathcliff’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Heathcliff’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
