Please be aware we do not hold dogs until an appointment to meet them is scheduled. Tiny Female - Possibly Dachshund X Schnauzer Approximate DOB 3/4/2025 – Currently about 5 lbs unknown adult size Chickpea, Sweetpea, and Peanut were picked up as strays very small and thin. Thankfully they ended up at a local shelter where they got the help they needed. This beautiful little girl is extremely playful and loves running around and wrestling with her siblings and the kids in the home. She’ll even take on the larger foster dogs and jump on them to start playing. She is affectionate with her foster family and will run up for quick pets and then back to running around She is still working on house training but doing great using her puppy pads while her foster mom is at work. Gets along great with everyone she meets. These babies (Sweetpea, Chickpea, and Peanut) are soooo darn tiny and cute they will be adopted quickly so please get your application in asap. Spayed, microchipped, and current on all vaccinations - Adoption Fee $300 - includes medical, collar and leash, small bag of food, and a few puppy pads to get you started. We do welcome out-of-state adoptions. Please be aware most of the dogs are located in foster homes in Los Lunas, NM. Adoption fees are cash only. If you would like to provide snacks, toys, food, and care for the dogs while they wait for their happily ever afters we would truly appreciate it. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and **CHICKPEA was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, **CHICKPEA’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the **CHICKPEA’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, **CHICKPEA’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
