Please be aware we do not hold dogs until an appointment to meet them is scheduled. Playful, Smart maybe Corgi / Cairn Terrier mix? Approximate DOB 3/1/2024 – About 25 lbs Twix showed up at the shelter as a very fearful little guy - he had been in a home with too many other dogs so was surrendered. He was then transferred to us here at Almost Home NM - haha apparently the staff had worked with him though as he came into our program very happy, playful, and friendly. He was a little worried as he could hear the dog in the run next to his but overall he is just a happy little boy!! He is very attached to Daphne for some reason. We believe it was because she was his kennel mate and the first dog he met when he was dropped off at the shelter but she doesn't feel the same way about him. LOL He is dog door trained. Loves to play with the other dogs. Loves toys and is just a sweet happy boy. In my opinion he looks like a wire haired German Shepherd with short legs. Anyhow Twix is an awesome boy who would make a wonderful addition to any active, playful, loving family. He is a gem, walks nicely on a leash, and is ready for his next adventure. Neutered, microchipped, and current on all vaccinations - Fee $200 We do welcome out-of-state adoptions. If you have other dogs it is recommended you bring them out to the meeting but not required. Steps for adoption: Read bio, email to request application or download it from the main website, fill it out completely and email it back, once approved you will receive an email asking you when you would like to come out to meet the pet, schedule an appointment, directions will be emailed or text to you. Adoption fees are cash only. If you would like to provide snacks for Miss Vegas while she waits for her happily ever after we would truly appreciate it. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and **TWIX was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, **TWIX’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the **TWIX’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, **TWIX’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
