Lily may be small, but shes already a shelter veteran! She and her brother Sage have spent one-third of their lives here (thats like 5 years in puppy math ). Shes hoping the next chapter of her life includes a couch, some snacks, and someone to hold her paw through scary doorways.She starts off a little shy, but once she decides youre safe, youve got a snuggly shadow for life. Lily doesnt quite understand toys yet because she had her siblings to play with. Leash walks? Shes working on it. Lets just say she prefers walking with you... like, right next to you... okay, practically under you. She`s got a little learning to do, but shes all in!Lily is affectionate, likes being with people and easy to handle. Shes still figuring out the whole doorway situation, but shes determined to be brave. If youre looking for a loyal sidekick who sticks closer than your shadow and gives the sweetest snuggles, Lilys your girl. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and LILY was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, LILY’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the LILY’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, LILY’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
