Hi, Iâm Abby! Iâve had a few names in the past, but this one feels like it fits. Iâm a curious, confident cat with a big personality and a love for play. My favorite toy is a wand toy â I love leaping through the air after it or grabbing it off the ground and giving it a good shake. Itâs the best! Iâve spent some time in a foster home, and Iâve made a few things clear when it comes to my boundaries with humans. Hereâs what Iâve shared so far:I will come to you â but I prefer it if you donât come to me first. I like to have hiding spots at different heights so I can check things out from a safe distance before deciding to say hello. Iâm pretty confident, and while I donât usually run away when Iâm uncomfortable, I may use my teeth as a warning. Iâve never broken the skin or latched on â just a gentle reminder that I have boundaries and teeth.I love to play! Whether it's with my kittens, interactive toys, crinkle balls, bouncy balls, catnip mice, cardboard boxes, or even light reflections, Iâm always ready for action. Iâve got a lot of energy and I use it!I use my litter box faithfully, and I always make sure itâs just the way I like it when Iâm done.I really enjoy a good stretch and a scratch after a meal, a nap, or a play session. I appreciate a variety of scratching options, especially sisal rope and corrugated cardboard.I think Iâm ready to be a full-time house cat.I know it might take us both a little time and patience to figure each other out, but Iâm up for it â and I have so much love to give. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and ARBOR was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, ARBOR’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the ARBOR’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, ARBOR’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
