I'm King! Despite my royal name, I'm a laid-back and friendly guy. I've got a brave heart and an independent spirit, but I also love to cuddle up and enjoy a good booty scratch. I'm young at heart, but my body tells a different story. You see, I've got a touch of arthritis and my ankle has seen better days. But don't worry, it doesn't slow me down or dampen my spirit. I pull a bit at first but once out I settle very quickly. I've learned to take life in stride, embracing each day with a mellow demeanor. I love to lean into you for those scratches as it sure feels good. I also love to check out the play yard, sniff a bunch, and then come back for those important butt scratches. My favorite volunteer says I should be renamed Suga. A little white suga and a little brown suga; goes with my coloring!!! Come and meet me today.

Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, KING's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and KING was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, KING’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the KING’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, KING’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
