About this Dog
Meet Mac! Mac is a stunning 5-year-old Dutch Shepherd mix weighing 80 pounds. Don’t let his size fool you—he thinks he’s a lapdog and will gladly try to prove it! Mac is neutered, up to date on all vaccinations, and current on flea and tick prevention. This sweet, loyal boy is incredibly intelligent and well-trained. He knows all the basics—sit, stay, come, down, paw, and even “follow me.” He’s trained off-leash and rarely strays more than 10 feet from his person. Mac is housebroken, crate trained, and thrives on structure and routine.Mac can be shy and cautious when meeting new people, but once he warms up, he’s deeply affectionate and loving. He would do best in a calm, adult-only home without other dogs, though he has lived successfully with a canine companion he grew up with. He also shares his home peacefully with a cat. An adventurous spirit, Mac loves hiking, running, exploring the outdoors, and playing fetch—especially with two balls at once! After a good play session, he’s all about napping hard. His favorite things include the beach, the woods, and feeling the wind in his fur. He’s extremely food motivated and especially loves bacon, bananas, and any kind of snack.Mac is a beloved member of his current family, and making the decision to rehome him has been incredibly difficult. He deserves a home where he can stay active, be deeply loved, and continue to thrive. If Mac sounds like your perfect outdoor companion and loyal best friend, please fill out an application to meet him at bcaaofnj.org
Contribute to Mac's Stash!

100% of Mac's balance will be sent to whoever adopts Mac.
Adopt Mac and Receive Mac's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Mac's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Mac's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Mac, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Mac's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Mac was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Mac’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Mac’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Mac’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
