About this Dog
Hi there! I’m Willa! I’m a sweet and playful 3-4-year-old boxer mix, weighing in at a lovable 60 pounds. I’m super, super friendly, and I love playing with other dogs, but would probably do best in a home as the only pup. I was patiently waiting at a shelter in Tennessee, but it’s gotten crowded because of all the dogs displaced by Hurricane Helene. I came in a stray, and nobody has come for me, so now I'm thrilled that I was lucky enough to come to NJ and find you! I am currently living with a foster family with older kids and I love them, but its not a forever kind of thing and I'm still on the hunt for my fur-ever. I'm looking for a very patient and low energy quiet home, as I can sometime get anxious (especially when being outside with new and loud noises - I'm still learning the ropes!) I'd also thrive in a home with a yard to run free in but prefer to hang inside mostly. I recently learned how fun toys and balls can be. And then there's the nightly couch cuddle I can't resist. I do great in the crate when my family is not home and at night. I also know some basic manners like sit, paw and leave it. If you’re looking to open your heart and home to a new best friend, please consider adopting me. When you bring me home, you’ll also make space for other dogs who are still waiting for help. You can apply at www.peace4paws.org/adoption-application. I can’t wait to meet you! Let’s make room for more friends in need.

The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Willa (adopter or foster needed), thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Willa (adopter or foster needed)'s contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Willa (adopter or foster needed) was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Willa (adopter or foster needed)’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Willa (adopter or foster needed)’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Willa (adopter or foster needed)’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
