About this Dog
Chewie is a sweet 7 year old mixed breed at about 50 lbs. Unfortunately we must rehome him after he bit our toddler and sent him to the hospital for stitches. This was the third incident, with the first two just being minor snips, which happened 20+ months ago. We took him to a trainer and observed him closely whenever he was around our child. After this, he had shown no aggression until the incident. He has always been weary of children but has NEVER shown aggression towards adults. He is otherwise very sweet and well behaved. He is house trained and non destructive. He needs to be in a house with no young children around. He is still medium to high energy. Though he lived with another dog, He has shown aggression towards other new dogs in the past and would likely do better as the only dog in a home. He has never shown aggression towards our cats but can be a little rough if he wants to play. We love our dog and hate that it has come to this but we cant risk the safety of our child. We just want to give him the best life we can. Anything you need to know, please ask.

Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Chewie's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Chewie was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Chewie’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
