Hi, my name is Louie! I am a handsome 8-year-old chihuahua who currently weighs 15 lbs. When I arrived at Critter Cavalry, it was clear that I enjoyed people food. Miss Peggy is strict about treats, and she immediately put me on a weight management diet. I’m happy to say I’ve lost almost 5 lbs, but I still have a little way to go and plan to trim down even further. I’ve been told I am the perfect dog. Even with several foster siblings around trying to lead me astray, I always choose to behave. I never have accidents in the house because I know that outside is the right place to do my "business." I respond to my name and come when I’m called; I don’t pretend I haven’t heard you! I know where my food is and am always ready when mealtime comes around. I enjoy sitting on the furniture, which is allowed here, and I have my favorite spot. At bedtime, I love snuggling close to Miss Peggy, but I'm also happy to keep my spot warm when she’s not nearby. If you are looking for a super sweet companion that you can take with you wherever you go, then you’ve found him in me. I love to go out, but I also enjoy hanging out at home. You can leave me loose in the house because remember I behave! I am fully vetted and ready to go. When you call, I can quickly pack my bags. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and LUCKY LOUIE was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, LUCKY LOUIE’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the LUCKY LOUIE’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, LUCKY LOUIE’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
