This special little one year old chihuahua is called Magic Maude. And especially sensitive little girl, that somehow got just a little too round and is on a dedicated exercise in nutrition program to drop some weight. Currently, she is eighteen pounds and we field that she would be best to be in the ten to twelve pound range as a goal. She originally was in a chaotic home that animal control had to step in and take away 112 chihuahuas that we're living in the home. An unfathomable amount of dogs that were not altered, but yet healthy. When mod came to our rescue and was put in a foster home. She lay there in her crate for days very depressed and emotionally unresponsive. She barely moved from the one spot she lay in. Eventually, after almost two weeks, she perked up with the company of few other chihuahuas coming to join her in her large crate. Soon she was going on walks with the foster. Mom and seemed to enjoy the freedom of being outside, taking in all the new sights and sounds of the neighborhood. We know she had never been leash walked due to the overcrowding at her original home. This girl is spayed and healthy and ready to start all over again. She wants love and we promised her a great family who will love her and take her for walks and treat her like the Magic Maude that she is. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and MAGIC MAUDE was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, MAGIC MAUDE’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the MAGIC MAUDE’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, MAGIC MAUDE’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
