Not long ago, Rescue Ridge welcomed her daughter and brother into care—and now it's Cassie’s turn to find the loving family she deserves. Cassie has recently completed treatment for heartworm and is now healthy and eager to start her next chapter. While she enjoys the company of other dogs, she’ll need to keep things on the calmer side for the next month or two to ensure her recovery continues smoothly. She showed no reaction to cats during her initial exposure, and her affectionate nature shines through with everyone she meets—Cassie is a true love bug. She’s built low to the ground (just below knee-height), but don’t let her size fool you—this girl is strong on a leash and will benefit from continued leash training and guidance. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Cassie was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Cassie’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Cassie’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Cassie’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
