About this Cat
Meet Fly Guy! This gentle sweetie came to us in rough shape, suffering from hypothermia and severe dehydration, matted fur and treatable wounds. Guy can be a bit cautious around children and seems fearful of men, but with time, patience and love we think he will thrive. He’s not a fan of baths, but he handles it without biting, scratching or being vocal. Though he’s quick to find his escape route when cornered and is certainly regaining muscle strength! Guy enjoys being brushed and even aggressive chin scratches. His FAVORITE food is Blue Buffalo Puree pouches. When looking for a feline companion, Guy might be the perfect match for you. He will need a dedicated adopter who is willing to give him the time and attention he needs to open up. He prefers to stay out of sight and under a bed, but does enjoy the daily pets when his foster crawls under the bed to spend time with him. *Update 12/1/24* Fly Guy has opened up to his surroundings immensely compared to his arrival temperament. Guy will thrive in a home with another friendly feline. His engagement with his foster increased greatly after introducing him to his foster brother. When the kids are asleep with the dog, Guy and his brother spend the evening exploring the first floor of the house while playing together for hours. Guy will still cower and flea at the slightest unexpected sound or movement. However, he will quickly return when he realizes there is no threat. He continues to flee children and is apprehensive of men so he remains in hiding during the days *Update 2/8/25* Guy is always on the fly, whether he knows you or not he will flee easily BUT will happily come back and offer you his trust if you lower your hand to him. He has grown to coexist with our family dog and loves his feline foster siblings. Guy would definitely grow to be a cuddler if he were to find a home with adults, as he is easily timid of children. His fears don't hold him back as he always resurfaces for pets. With less chatter in the home, I'm convinced Fly Guy will become more and more comfortable in his atmosphere and be less on the fly. He has become more accustomed to the foster dad of the house, but would still do well in a home with a female figure. Although he does okay with the kids and dog, he'd flourish in a quieter environment. *Update 6/20/25** Guy's personality still matches his 2/8/25 update. The only change he has experienced is a hair cut! Due to initial issues, his hair matted easily. Foster mom tried to cut them out but medical grooming was necessary to keep him comfortable. This was done in April, so his hair is growing back. Although, you can still see his "lions" cut.

Adopt FLY GUY and Receive FLY GUY's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, FLY GUY's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is FLY GUY's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the FLY GUY, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming FLY GUY's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and FLY GUY was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, FLY GUY’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the FLY GUY’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, FLY GUY’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
