Dolly and her sister Holly spent their early months surviving on the streets of Albania before being rescued and placed in a shelter. For three long years, Dolly waited patiently for a family of her own—something heartbreakingly rare in her home country, where adoptive homes are scarce. That’s why we knew we had to step in and give her the second chance she deserves. Now in the U.S., Dolly is flourishing in a foster home. She’s affectionate, calm, and gets along beautifully with people, dogs, and even cats. She’s housebroken, has excellent house manners, and seems to understand whatever you ask of her. While she’s still a bit shy at times, Dolly truly shines in the company of another friendly dog. A confident canine sibling will help her continue to come out of her shell and feel safe as she learns the joys of home life. Dolly can be adopted on her own or with her beloved sister Holly. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Dolly Albania was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Dolly Albania’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Dolly Albania’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Dolly Albania’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
