About this Dog
***ADOPTION PENDING *** Monroe is currently located at our rescue in Georgia. He is scheduled to be available for adoption at the Tractor Supply in Ringoes, New Jersey over the July 12-13 weekend. An application for the adoption of Monroe can be submitted at socorescue.com (no need to register or login). Questions about Monroe and/or our adoption policy should be sent to [email protected]; please do not call the rescue's number.*** While at a local mobile home park checking on another dog, Scott Bennett was alerted about a litter of pups that a man had placed in a box and left at the dumpster. When Scott went to check on those pups, which there were about 6-8 pups total, he could only find two of them. Without any regard to the well-being of the pups, some of the residents allowed their children to simply take some of the pups and tote them around. The manager of the park did her best to round up and care for all of the pups, but in the end, only two, Monroe and his sister Miscile, were found. If it hadn't been for the compassion of the manager, Monroe and Miscile would have also met their demise. Monroe wasted no time in showing us just how much he appreciated the efforts to save his life. This young fellow is very affectionate, playful and well-socialized towards people. He loves playing with his sister and other pups. His eagerness to be around people will make him an excellent choice for anyone looking to add a dog into their life. As of June 28th, Monroe has received 2/3 of his first year "puppy" vaccinations, de-wormings and other necessary vet care with his final round being due on July 19. He's also been kept up to date on his monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. His adopter must agree to having Monroe neutered once he reaches the appropriate age, typically at 6 months old, an providing SoCo Rescue with verification of such. He will require additional house and leash training, which should come very easily as he appears to be very intelligent.

Adopt Monroe and Receive Monroe's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Monroe's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Monroe's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Monroe, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Monroe's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Monroe was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Monroe’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Monroe’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Monroe’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
