About this Dog
***Lucy is currently located at our rescue in Georgia. She is scheduled to be available for adoption at the Tractor Supply in Ringoes, New Jersey over the July 12-13 weekend. An application for Lucy's adoption can be submitted at socorescue.com (no need to register or login). Questions about Lucy and/or our adoption policy should be sent to [email protected]; please do not call the rescue's number.*** Lucy was found as a stray puppy at a local business. At only 6-7 weeks old at the time, Lucy looked pretty frail, dehydrated and was suffering from flea dermatitis. If it weren't for the kindness of the man who found her, poor Lucy may not have survived much longer. Once under our care, Lucy made a quick recovery from all that ailed her. Lucy possesses one of the sweetest personalities that we've ever seen in a pup. She's always eager to show just how affectionate she is to everyone who she comes in contact with. She's playful, yet calm, gets along great with other dogs and puppies and would most likely do very well around cats too. She'd also do very well in a home with children who know how to properly handle a young puppy. Lucy has already received all of her first year "puppy" vaccinations, de-wormings and even spayed. She's also been kept up to date on her monthly flea/tick/heartworm preventatives, She will require additional house and leash training, which should come very easily as she appears to be very intelligent. A home that allows her plenty of room to run and play would be best for her.

Adopt Lucy and Receive Lucy's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Lucy's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Lucy's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Lucy, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Lucy's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Lucy was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Lucy’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Lucy’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Lucy’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
