About this Dog
Coco is a pit mix who is looking for a new home. She is 10 years old. Sadly, her parents have divorced, and neither can bring her along. She is here in NJ. Coco came from Puerto Rico as a puppy. Coco is a sweet little chunk who loves being with her people and loves riding in the car and playing in the yard. She is housebroken and knows sit, come and down. While she has lived her whole life with another dog (Choco), she would probably do best as an only child. Coco can be initially reactive on leash to other dogs, but can get past it. She is generally easy on leash and a calm, sweet, affectionate girl. She has shown to be fine around children, but has had limited exposure. It is unknown how she would be with a cat.

Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Coco's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Coco was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Coco’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Coco’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Coco’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
