Joy is a beautiful soul who is in need of a new home. Joy is with our partner rescue in Louisiana but can come to NJ if we find a foster or adopter. We do offer a foster-to-adopt trial to approved adopters. Joy sat in a rural shelter in Southern Louisiana for months waiting to be picked. Instead, one day she ended up on the euthanasia list and our partner rescue decided to save her. There is a huge problem in the south with an overpopulation of animals. There dogs have done nothing wrong but they end up in dead end shelters or dumped on the side of the road. Joy has gained over 10 lbs with our partner rescue. She is doing well now and loving her foster home. Joy is dog and kid friendly (small kids unknown). Joy is fixed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines. She tested negative for heartworm. Her adoption fee is $450. Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training prior to adoption. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Joy - Just A Beauty! was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Joy - Just A Beauty!’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Joy - Just A Beauty!’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Joy - Just A Beauty!’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
