About this Dog
Scott is a handsome boy who is looking for a new home. Scott is currently with one of our sister rescues in Louisiana but hoping to come to NJ soon. We do offer a foster-to-adopt trial to approved adopters. Scott was found as a stray and taken in by our partner rescue. His owner saw him on social media to let them know that he used to be their dog but they can't take care of him. She said he was an outside dog and ran off during a storm. Could you blame him? Left out 24/7 in the weather no matter if hot, cold, rain or wind...at the mercy of mosquitos 24/7 just about 365 days a year... a horrible way to live. Scott is doing great at the shelter and very loved by the volunteers. He is dog friendly! Scott is fixed, microchipped and he is up to date on rabies, DHPP and Bordetella vaccines. Of course he tested positive for heartworm due to his neglect but his treatment is underway. Treatment can be done in Louisiana or NJ if we find a foster willing to see him through it. His adoption fee is $450. Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through they deserve a loving, committed home. How to Adopt Me! If you are interested in learning more about me, and possibly making me part of your family, please go to wagoninn.rescuegroups.org. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Scott - So Sweet! was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Scott - So Sweet!’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Scott - So Sweet!’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Scott - So Sweet!’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
