About this Dog
Foster Update 11/11/2023: Hello Greyhound Friends, my name is Scotty, though my foster mom calls me Joey because with my ears I look like a baby wallaby! I’m 19 months old, light as a feather at 38 pounds and I’m about 22 inches tall at my withers. I love to play! I’m still a puppy in many ways. I’m sweet and curious with people and with other dogs. I grew up around cats, too, so I like them as well. See how sweet I am with my foster sister who’s a pit bull! I would LOVE to live in a home with another dog and with human children aged six and older because I’m so playful and curious! I need a fenced-in yard to feel safe and secure when outside. My foster mom takes me out for nice walks on leash, but I can’t help being scared outside because when I was a puppy overseas, I and my siblings were always in “fight or flight” mode. I am getting much better and love people and I love car rides!! My foster mom can’t keep me, so won’t you take me home? I will be loving addition to a family with kids and another dog, and cats are great too! Original Posting:Scotty recently arrived from Oman, along with his brother Laddie, both are Wadi dogs. Wadi dogs are from the wadis (dry riverbeds) of Oman. they are typically stray dogs that live in groups and are generally non-aggressive survivors who avoid police interdiction. They are believed to be a mix of Saluki and other sighthound types. Scotty is striking in appearance and mid-sized--not too big and not too small. Scotty is a little reserved at first and wants to be with other dogs which makes him much more comfortable. He is friendly and does well with people dogs and cats. He is 18 months old. We are looking for an adoptive or foster home for Laddie--if you can help, please call 732 356 4370.

Adopt Scotty and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Scotty's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Scotty's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Scotty, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Scotty's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Scotty was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Scotty’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
"The fun and friendly internet currency."
Dogecoin sets itself apart from other digital currencies with an amazing, vibrant community made up of friendly folks just like you. Dogecoin is a decentralized, peer-to-peer digital currency that enables you to easily send money online.
Learn more about it on youtube or at dogecoin.com.
We want the Scotty’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Scotty’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
