About this Dog
Buddy is 5/6 year old pit we rescued in 2022. He is neutered and up to date with all shots. We lost our dog end of 2021 to age and this dog helped with getting my husband to walk and move each day. His condition deteriorated and we sent Buddy to live with our daughter in Maine. She had him to 2 years and had a child last June. She had trained Buddy as he was having adjustment issues and he has anxiety. He is big and strong and fast at changing his space and their home became too small for comfort with a soon to be toddler. We took him back in May. My husband is due to have additional surgery 6/30 to his cervical spine and it is not a good mix for he or Buddy. Buddy does not like being alone. He doesnt play well with other animals. He is a great companion dog who give lots of love. We fondly call him couch hippo. He loves sunbathing, snacks/treats and being scratched. Our shelters are at max and they are recommending euthanasia. Our hearts are broken for this unpredictable anxious lovebug. Hoping there is someone that can help us.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Buddy was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Buddy’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Buddy’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Buddy’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
