About this Bird
Hatch Date: 2018 Little Bird is a 6-year-old (DNA male) Lutino Cockatiel He’s a handsome and smart bird. His favorite treat is spray millet, and he gets excited whenever he sees it. Extremely food motivated. He’s not very interested in toys but enjoys being around people. As long as you keep your hands to yourself, he is not a big fan of stepping up. He doesn’t like being handled much, but he loves hanging out on your shoulder or the top of your head. He is a good flier and gets around well, though landing is still a work in progress. He usually ends with a soft thud and shakes it off like nothing happened ;) One fun thing about him is that he responds when you whistle and has started mimicking a few simple melodies. It’s pretty entertaining. Overall, he’s such a good boy, easy to care for, and a fun little companion. Our kids love spending time with him. He would like a home where he can have lots of out-of-cage time. Great bird for a young family :) Little Bird is being fostered in Branchburg, NJ He will only be adopted into a forever home within driving distance. We will NOT ship our birds. For the Love of Birds is a group of dedicated foster homes throughout NJ and Eastern PA We do not have a central location. Little Bird is living in a volunteer's private homeWe only allow approved applicants to make visits. Adopt Little Bird and Receive Little Bird's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Little Bird's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Little Bird's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Little Bird, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Little Bird's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Little Bird was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Little Bird’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Little Bird’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Little Bird’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
