About this Bird
Hatch Date: April 2024 Connie is a beautiful 11-month-old, DNA tested female Lutino Cockatiel. She is not hand-tame and has a lot to learn about trusting humans. She hasn't had a lot of handling yet, but her foster dad is trying to change that. She currently eats a pellet/seed mix, but her foster family is trying her with healthy veggie supplements and moving toward less seed. She is used to other birds, as she has three other siblings. She likes to interact with the Lovebird in her foster home, and they play on the cage top together. Connie will require some time, patience, and consistency for handtaming, but she is still very young, and you will have a lifetime of companionship with her. As Cockatiels can live long, active lives into their twenties, we will want to make sure Connie is adopted by someone who has thought seriously through the commitment and will treat her like the life companion she is meant to be. Connie is being fostered in Bensalem, PA, and will require in-person visits before adoption We do not ship our adoptable birds. For the Love of Birds is a network of dedicated foster homes throughout NJ and Eastern PA. As our adoptable birds are living in volunteer homes, we only allow approved adopters to make the required visits. If interested in adopting Connie, please visit our website ftlob.rescuegroups.org Please read our adoption policies and complete an adoption application.

Adopt Connie and Receive Connie's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Connie's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Connie's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Connie, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Connie's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Connie was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Connie’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Connie’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Connie’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
