About this Bird
Hatch Date: 2006 Olly is a beautiful female Yellow Crowned Amazon. She is 18 yrs old. She was believed to be male (previously named Oliver) until she laid an egg 3-4 yrs ago. She has only laid one egg. She is fully flighted, although in the past she was clipped; last time was 3 years ago. Although she has all her flight feathers, she hasn’t attempted to fly in her foster home so far. Unfortunately, her original owner passed away 3 yrs ago and she was left to his daughter. Although Olly was loved by the family, they didn’t have the time to spend with her. She spent all of her time in her cage and was away from the main living area. Olly likes to dance, especially when she is happy. Her foster dad calls it her happy dance. She says a few different things I’m Oliver, Hello, and Mom. She is not a loud bird. Once in awhile she will loudly call out if there is a loud noise, but she is mostly quiet. She shares her foster home with a cat. She seems interested in the cat but doesn’t seem aggressive. She had lived with a lovebird and didn’t pay much attention to the Love Bird. She is currently in her cage during the day but spends the nights on top of her cage. Olly is currently on a seed mix diet and we are working on transitioning her to pellets or something healthier. She has been eating Nutri-Berries in her foster home and loves them. She likes whole peanuts as a treat. Olly has been disease-tested for psittacosis and PBFD. She is being fostered in Bensalem, PA, and will require three in-person visits before adoption. We will not ship our birds. For the Love of Birds is a network of dedicated foster homes throughout NJ and Eastern PA. As our adoptable birds are living in volunteer homes, we only allow approved adopters to make the required visits. If interested in adopting Olly, please visit our website ftlob.rescuegroups.org and read our adoption policies, fees and to complete an adoption application.

Adopt Olly and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Olly's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Olly's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Olly, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Olly's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Olly was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Olly’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the Olly’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Olly’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
