Luke - Male DOB 5/1/2020 Domestic Short Hair - Orange Tabby Luke is a mellow, sweet kitty who really knows how to enjoy the good life. When he first came to us, his fur was greasy and unkempt from living outside, so we gave him a spa day complete with waterless shampoo, a furminating session, and lots of brushing—and he’s looking (and feeling!) like a brand-new cat. Luke loves being groomed and will happily accept pets, though he’ll politely let you know when he’s done by hopping away to do his own thing. He’s playful and especially loves batting around his favorite catnip mouse, and he gets along nicely with most other cats. He’s made a great friend here at the rescue in Deer, and the two of them love to wrestle, play, and hang out together. They would love to be adopted together, and make a great duo if you're looking to add two playful cats to your home. A quieter home without dogs or young kids would suit his gentle personality best. Luke has recently had a dental where he had some extractions and the rest of his teeth cleaned. He is feeling much better now without that pain he had going on in his mouth. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Luke AND Deer was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Luke AND Deer’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Luke AND Deer’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Luke AND Deer’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
