About this Dog
SADIE IN NH – A DIAMOND IN THE ROUGH Sadie is a beautiful, sensitive soul who’s looking for a very special home. Around 3 years old, Sadie has had a tough start in life and is naturally shy and wary of strangers. She can be standoffish and will growl or snap if she feels her boundaries aren’t respected — she needs a family who truly understands that trust is earned, not demanded. Once Sadie knows you’re safe, her real personality shines through: she’s playful, smart, and absolutely loves her toys. Toss her a squeaky toy and you’ll see her inner puppy come to life! She’ll happily entertain herself or invite you to join her playtime once she feels secure. Sadie will thrive in a quiet, patient, adult-only home with people experienced in giving shy dogs the space and time they need to come around. She’ll do best as the only pet, or with a calm, respectful male larger canine companion after a proper introduction. Sadie isn’t the dog for everyone — but for the right person, she’ll be a deeply rewarding friend. If you believe in second chances and know how to let a dog set the pace, Sadie might just be waiting for you. Adoption Requirements: Secure, calm home environment No young children Dog-savvy adopter willing to go slow Commitment to positive reinforcement training (Sadie is treat motivated) A big toy basket wouldn’t hurt! If you think you’re Sadie’s person, reach out — she’s ready to meet you on her own terms and grow into the loyal companion she was meant to be.
