Meet Max – The Spicy Senior with a Heart of Gold! Hi my name is Max, and I may be between 11 and 12 years young, but don’t let my age fool you—I’ve still got plenty of pep in my paws (yes, I still get the zoomies!). I’m a charming terrier mix that finds all the joy and happiness in the world and just need a forever family to share it with! I weigh between 25-30 pounds and life sure threw me a curveball recently when my lifelong human had to give me up due to tough circumstances. But I’m ready to start a new chapter in a forever, loving home where I can enjoy my golden years in peace and comfort. Here’s the lowdown on me: I LOVE going for walks (my favorite activity!), belly rubs, and just being by your side. I'm told I'm just an easy dog to love! I’m a people person through and through—take me for a pup cup or give me treats and you'll win my heart! I’m fine with kids that are dog appropriate and have manners --kind of like I do! I must say naps, sunbathing, and maybe sharing a porch with another chill dog buddy would be delightful. I do get a little protective of my food—it’s nothing personal, just a polite “paws off” warning. But I will sit and wait for you to give me the ok to eat instead of just jumping in. I’m in great health and have been well cared for my whole life—no meds, no issues, just a spunky loving soul in a senior body! Max is ready to be someone’s loyal shadow and cuddle buddy. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Max was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Max’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Max’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Max’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
