About this Cat
Introducing Lenny. The larger than life cat in oh so many ways. He's a middle-aged cat at nine years old and boy has he had a life! Lenny is roughly 27 lbs. Maybe a little less pounds now as we've had him on a diet and he's extremely tall, extremely long, and looks like he came from giant parents . I have questioned often if I had a Maine coon or a bobcat in my house lol He barely escaped being euthanized due to perceived arthritis. The the vet was kind enough give him an arthritis shot and call the rescue to see if any of us could help. Lenny has been with me for about 3 or 4 weeks now and he's an interesting cat for sure. The shot must work wonders because I don't see any signs of arthritis. He can jump on my counters with the rest of the cats, which is unfortunate when I'm trying to keep him out of the food! Lenny loves to eat. Haha Lenny is an alpha cat for sure. He needs to go to a home where there aren't other cats or the very minimum a submissive cat who will let him be the boss and in charge. He doesn't particular mind other cats but he demands to be the alpha and that doesn't always go over well when you have multiple kitties. He does have asthma although it seems to be mostly stress or exercise induced. He has both a maintenance inhaler and a rescue inhaler but since he's been with me we only had to use them sparingly. I don't think he would do well with young children because he only wants love on his terms. He's a little on the spicy side. But he does love to cuddle and loves to lay on top of you and purrrrrr. He has no idea he is as big as he is. As far as he's concerned, he's just an average house cat with a little bit of attitude. We absolutely adore Lenny but our foster situation does not allow for him to live his best life with the resident cats in the house. If you or someone you know it could be a wonderful home for Lenny , give me a holler! Btw he is 9 years old, neutered, up to date on shots and declawed (done by previous owner ). He will very likely need the arthritis shot on a 4 to 6 week basis and it does run around $140. And he'll of course me and his inhalers refilled at times. Because of his medical needs, his adoption is half off! Contact [email protected] for more information.
