Tiki and siblings (the Summer Resort litter) were the result of an "oops" litter that ended up in a crowded shelter. Mom is a Black GSD and dad is a Black & Tan GSD. When these sweet babies landed at the shelter, they were skinny, and covered up in fleas and scabs. They have now received vet care and they are thriving in their foster homes. Tiki is an absolutely adorable and bright-eyed 8.5 week-old little girl. She has been great with the cat and older dogs in her foster home, and is quickly picking up on potty and kennel training. Tiki loves to be with her people and is either at their feet or playing with the kids. In the cutest way, her ears are still figuring out what to do. Her foster parents think she is a dream puppy who will be a wonderful addition to a very lucky family! Tiki's adoption fee is $450, all of which goes back into offseting our high-cost vetting expenses and rescuing more dogs. We are a 100% volunteer-run rescue group and rely on adoption fees and donations to continue saving lives. Adoption fees include spay/neuter, current on age- appropriate vaccinations, fecal, deworming, flea/tick and heartworm preventative, heartworm tested if old enough (and treated if positive), and microchipped. Like all GSDs, and other herding breeds that we have in rescue, Tiki will need training, consistency, boundaries, and lots of activity and socialization, in order to be a well-balanced, well-behaved dog. This sweet boy would make a great addition to an active home that will provide the love, structure, good leadership, activity and mental stimulation that he needs. Because of that, Oliver's ideal owner will have prior GSD, or other similar breed experience. Even if you exercise and play with your dog daily in your fenced yard, please remember that you MUST still take your dog out on daily walks and outings, in order to provide sufficient stimulation, ward off boredom, and work on leash skills and manners.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Tiki-Summer Resort litter was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Tiki-Summer Resort litter’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Tiki-Summer Resort litter’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Tiki-Summer Resort litter’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
