About this Dog
Nora is a gorgeous young German Shepherd who is growing like a weed! She came into rescue from a local family who had an oops litter and were overwhelmed by the care the litter needed as they grew. Nora came into rescue skinny and pretty scared of new things but she settled in quickly to her foster home and is now looking for her very own forever home. Nora was born Feb 17, 2025. Nora LOVES to play and in true German Shepherd fashion anything that can go in her mouth, will go in her mouth. She is teething so she will need a variety of puppy safe toys to keep her occupied and prevent chewing on unwanted things in her new home. She is kennel trained and mostly potty trained but she is still a baby, so she needs supervision and regular potty breaks. Nora currently lives with dogs of varying sizes and is friendly to all of them, but is a little too rough for the small dog so she may do best in a home with dogs that aren’t deterred by large rambunctious puppies. Nora is not suited for apartments or a home with cats at this time. To help pay for vet bills and care (transportation, food, toys, etc..) a $250 donation is requested at the time of adoption. All of our adoptions are contingent upon an approved application, home visit, reference check, obedience training agreement, and signing of adoption contract. All our dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped before adoption. Our dogs are companion animals that live indoors as part of your family. Please do not apply if your plan is to have them as outside dogs, garage dogs, porch dogs or outside kennel dogs. We do not ship dogs.

Adopt Nora and Receive Nora's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Nora's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Nora's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Nora, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Nora's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Nora was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Nora’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Nora’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Nora’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
