About this Dog
Meet Anna –Currently in foster care and READY for her forever home!Say hello to Anna, a 1.5-year-old female German Shepherd with a heart as big as her ears. Found abandoned in Spanish Lake alongside her sister Elsa, Anna has come such a long way from the scared girl we first met. Anna was rescued, vetted, and welcomed into a loving foster home where her sweet, quirky personality is finally shining through.Anna's journey hasn’t been easy—she was found pregnant, gave birth to two puppies, and needed an emergency C-section when three others didn’t survive. She’s since been spayed, recovered like a champ, and is now soaking up the joys of being safe, cared for, and loved. At some point in her young life, it’s clear Anna was not treated with kindness. She arrived fearful and unsure of humans, but with time, love, and patience, she’s blossoming into a curious, affectionate girl who wants so badly to trust and be loved. A little about Anna:Just over 1 year oldGentle with food & treatsPotty trainedGREAT with other dogs — and must have a canine companion in her forever homeDoes well with cats tooLOVES toys, bones, and playtimeShy with new humans, but so curious—she’ll nose her way into your heart once she knows she’s safeVery much a “monkey see, monkey do” type dog —she follows the lead of other dogsAnna needs a home with another confident dog to show her the ropes and help her continue building trust. And just as important, she needs a family who will be patient, gentle, and understanding of her past. She's come a long way, but healing takes time—and she’s doing beautifully. With the right support, Anna will become the most loyal, loving companion you could ask for.If you can offer love, patience, and a safe place where Anna can continue to learn what it means to be part of a family, she will reward you tenfold—with tail wags, toy-fetching zoomies, and unwavering devotion.

Adopt Anna and Receive Anna's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Anna's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Anna's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Anna, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Anna's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Anna was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Anna’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Anna’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Anna’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
