About this Pony
Little Miss Tessa came to Longmeadow with another pony after her owner passed away. It took her some time to get used to her new life here at the Ranch. As time went on, however, and as she was introduced to other horses after her routine quarantine ended, Tessa began to settle in. She made friends with other equine and began to enjoy the company of humans. Before we knew it, she was ready to be evaluated by our trainers.Upon evaluation, our trainers found that Tessa knew certain cues that made them suspect that she had a history of training under saddle. Our head trainer believed, however, that enough time had passed since Tessaâs previous training that a restart was necessary. Tessa is now being ridden at the walk and trot OFF the lunge line in our indoor arena and is doing very well! She will require an intermediate handler and rider while she continues to work on her skills under saddle. We think Tessa would excel with a confident intermediate adopter who can continue her training under saddle. While she sure is cute, this girl is not the pony for a beginner. It should be noted that during her training, an old ligament issue arose in Tessa's right front leg. After PRP and shockwave therapy, Tessa spent some time off for rehabilitation. Our vets suggested she be put in corrective shoes to help with her comfort levels. While she is now being ridden comfortably, her future adopter will need to continue her rehabilitation.Think Tessa is the pony for you? Adopt TESSA and Receive TESSA's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, TESSA's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is TESSA's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the TESSA, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming TESSA's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and TESSA was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, TESSA’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the TESSA’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, TESSA’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
