About this Horse
Arlo is a 12-year-old bay Arabian who came to us underweight and neglected. He was hungry and nervous upon his arrival. We gave him a nice clean stall with a deep sawdust floor and started on his rehabilitation with a strict refeeding schedule. Slowly but surely, Arlo began to gain weight. He started to enjoy his daily routine and before we knew it, he was healthy and ready to be evaluated! Upon evaluation, we found that Arlo had no previous training under saddle. He was, however, very intelligent and picked up on his groundwork quite quickly. He has a `wants to please` attitude and is very responsive when being handled by a confident person. Arlo is a personable boy who has lots of potential for the right person. Our groundwork trainer believed he would make an exceptional liberty horse. He will need an advanced adopter to put him into professional training if adopted as a riding horse. Arlo would do best in a home with all geldings or all mares, as he tends to be a bit on the `studly` side when turned out with both. When in work, this boy is thoughtful and calm. We can't wait to see where life takes him!Adoption Fee: $600Height: 14.3hhMaximum Carrying Weight (includes tack and rider): 145 lbs
Contribute to ARLO's Stash!

100% of ARLO's balance will be sent to whoever adopts ARLO.
Adopt ARLO and Receive ARLO's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, ARLO's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is ARLO's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the ARLO, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming ARLO's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and ARLO was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, ARLO’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the ARLO’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, ARLO’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
