About this Horse
If you're a nut for Saddlebreds, Charlotte may just be the horse for you! Surrendered to Longmeadow in March of 2021, Charlotte was malnourished and nervous. Through lots of love, food, and time she has blossomed into the horse she is today. She is a high energy horse who enjoys working and settles into a routine nicely. Her overall demeanor softens, and she relaxes when put into work. She does prefer to bond with just one or two people and doesn't thrive with multiple handlers due to relying heavily on consistency.Charlotte would be perfectly happy being a pasture pet if you aren't interested in riding. Just for handling her on the ground she will need a confident intermediate handler. She is a kind mare that has never been naughty even when stressed. We are confident that she will blossom in a new home with an adopter who spends time developing her trust. While at the ranch, Charlotte has been ridden at the walk and trot in the indoor arena. She has also been ridden at the walk outside of the arena. It is important to note that this was in 2022 and due to an accident (car accident, not horse :-)) that put her primary trainer out for several months, Charlotte was turned back out to pasture and has been living the pasture pet life. If wanted for riding, she will need a confident intermediate rider after receiving a 60-day refresher from a professional trainer. She also would benefit from front shoes if riding were in her future.Adoption Fee: $500.00Carrying Weight: 210lbs (including tack and rider)Height: 15hh

Adopt CHARLOTTE and Receive CHARLOTTE's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, CHARLOTTE's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is CHARLOTTE's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the CHARLOTTE, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming CHARLOTTE's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and CHARLOTTE was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, CHARLOTTE’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the CHARLOTTE’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, CHARLOTTE’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
