About this Dog
Meet Laya â our sweet 3-year-old chocolate muffin looking for a fresh start! Laya came to us on 6/28/25 after a tough beginning. She was passed around through multiple homes in a trailer park before one person finally kept her â but even then, she was tied to a lead outside, unable to even fully reach the home. Most of her time was spent alone under a tree. Despite her past, this brave girl is learning to trust again.Since arriving at PAC, Laya has shown us how much love she has to give â once she knows you're safe, she turns into a total love bug. She's already bonded quickly with staff and loves soaking up attention. A few things to know about Laya:-Sheâs shy at first, so she needs a patient and calm home.-Fast movements and reaching over her head can startle her.-Because of this, no young kids are recommended.-Sheâs shown dominant, under-socialized behavior with dogs and would need a meet-and-greet to see if another pup is the right fit.Sheâs available for foster or adoption â she just needs a chance to learn what love, security, and home really mean.Layaâs been through more than most, but sheâs still hopeful for her second chance. Could it be with you???Come meet Laya at PAC or ask us how to foster!#AdoptLaya #SecondChances #ChocolateMuffinDog #ShyButSweet #FosterLove #PACPets
Contribute to LAYA's Stash!

100% of LAYA's balance will be sent to whoever adopts LAYA.
Adopt LAYA and Receive LAYA's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, LAYA's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is LAYA's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the LAYA, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming LAYA's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and LAYA was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, LAYA’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the LAYA’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, LAYA’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
