About this Cat
This is Jumbo Jack (7 yrs). He is a diabetic that was NOT doing well at the shelter. He was in a feral box and it was nearly impossible to give him meds. So we decided to take on a new challenge.Jack has been with us for 2 weeks and we have made WAY more progress than we ever thought he would in a short amount of time. He still hisses and stays hidden in one particular spot in the room when we walk in. But with a slow calm approach, we have learned that the quickest way to his heart is with a brush.Today, I managed to push him a bit out of his comfort zone by turning the cat tree around to face the door so that he could see us when we walked in the room. While he is super uncomfortable with the slight adjustment, he did warm up quickly with some calm patience and showed us a bit more of his sweet loving side by flopping over and showing his belly for pets. While we are still a ways away from him being a more confident and grounded boy, we are so incredibly proud of him for opening up and trusting us as much as he has so far.

Adopt JUMBO JACK and Receive JUMBO JACK's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, JUMBO JACK's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is JUMBO JACK's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the JUMBO JACK, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming JUMBO JACK's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and JUMBO JACK was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, JUMBO JACK’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the JUMBO JACK’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, JUMBO JACK’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
