About this Dog
Tilly is an incredible dog and has been with us for the past 6 months. We rehomed her 6 months ago and, unfortunately, her previous owners were not honest with us about her temperament around children. Tilly is not aggressive, but is very anxious around new people and children, which has the possibility of leading to an accident. She has never bit anyone since we have owned her and her previous owners did not disclose any incidents. She does very well meeting adults outdoors on a leash or in an open space. She takes time to warm up and "pitty nibbles" a bit, but has grown in her success with adults throughout the 6 months we have had her. We worked with a trainer to have her assessed and the trainer confirmed that she would not be a good fit around young children. We are expecting our first child in October, which is why we are searching for her forever home. Although Tilly does have her quirks, she is truly one of the best dogs I have ever owned. She is crate trained and has no problem being crated when needed, she sometimes will go in there herself. She knows "sit" "stay" "shake" "down" "this way" "crate" and "place" and is highly food motivated and eager to please/get a treat. She is phenomenal off leash and we have taken her to dog friendly hiking spots and open space dog parks and it is her favorite place in the world. She is also phenomenal on leash and is a loose leash walker. She loves cuddles more than anything in the world and would be your snuggly friend while watching TV or reading a book! She really is an incredible dog, she just needs the right environment. We are heartbroken that we are in this situation, but are motivated to help her find her forever home. Below are a few more bullet points about her. Please reach out with any other questions or inquiries. Has never been around cats. There would have to be incredibly slow intros if someone were to explore this for her. I am not sure how she would do, but I would lean toward saying "no cats" She is dog selective. She came from a three dog household prior to us, so she does love other dogs and loves to play, but she is big on boundaries and space. She is most successful meeting another dog in a big open space first so she can become comfortable with them. She doesn't like dogs who cannot read body language/cues (when she gives a growl that she needs space they do not back up for example) She is on gabapentin 2x day and zoloft 1x day medium sized dog approx 50lbs is up to date on all shots and has been given routine flea, tick, heartworm 3 years old she loves the water!

Adopt Tilly and Receive Tilly's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Tilly's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$6 is Tilly's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Tilly, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Tilly's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Tilly was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Tilly’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Tilly’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Tilly’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
