About this Dog
Meet Oakley Rose – A Little Brittany with a Big Heart! Stop right there! Yes—you! Look at this face. How can you resist the adorable, freckled charm of me, Oakley Rose? I’m a petite, 2-year-old, 27-pound orange and white Brittany Spaniel, and let me tell you—I’m just as lovely on the inside as I am cute on the outside! I’m spayed, housebroken, crate trained, and up-to-date on all my vaccines. I’m also on heartworm and flea/tick prevention like a good girl. I know some basic commands and love showing off how smart I am! I’m playful, snuggly, and oh-so-sweet. My favorite things include playing chase with my foster sister Macie, going on walks, hanging out with the grandkids, and curling up in my foster dad’s recliner for the best naps ever. At night, I nestle right between my foster parents’ pillows, making sure I can touch both of them while I dream. That’s how much I love being close to my people. But—here’s the part where I need someone a little extra special: I have a condition called Canine Megaesophagus. Don’t let the big word scare you! It just means I need to eat my special food (prepared with love), upright and patiently. My foster parents will walk you through my routine, and I’ve become a total pro at it! With just a little extra attention during mealtimes, I live a happy, active, and love-filled life. What I’m Looking For: A home full of love, patience, and snuggles. A family who’s willing to help me manage my simple mealtime needs. Maybe even a furry sibling or two to romp and play with! I may need a little more care than the average pup—but I promise, the love and joy I bring will be far more than you ever imagined. I’m Oakley Rose, and I’m ready to bloom in the heart of my forever family. Could that be you? Medical Note: Oakley has her very own Bailey Chair. The Foster Mom will discuss everything with you in detail. Oakley is precious and knows she is supposed to keep her head lifted. Please don’t let this deter you from getting the best little girl ever. The adoption fee for MO/Oakley Rose, who lives in Nixa, MO is $400, which helps to offset our vetting and allows NBRAN to rescue more of these wonderful family members. If you are interested in making MO/Oakley Rose part of your family, please complete the online application by visiting www.nbran.org . Contact the South Central Region Coordinators Melinde Waddle at [email protected] and/or Chris Wagoner at [email protected] and/or Nancy Walker at [email protected] and then let your state coordinator know so we can get the ball rolling. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the MO/Oakley Rose’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, MO/Oakley Rose’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
