About this Dog
Approx. DOB: 8/15/24 Current Weight(as of 3/18/25): 43.8 Adoption Fee: $225 includes 2 week trial to ensure everyone's happiness. UPDATE....Nicholas has started taking obedience classes. He is doing fantastic. Nicholas is a beautiful lab mix. Both parents are black lab mixes. Him and his sister Nikki were released to Furry Kids' Refuge due to the family having too many dogs. Nick is such a loving pup. He is really energetic and active. Nick loves to play with the other dogs. Of course he loves all toys especially balls and Kong chews that look like knuckle bones for heavy chewers. Nick is looking for a family that wants a happy, active, fun pup that still has some more growing to do. At this point we think he will gain another 20pds before he is full grown but this is only a GUESS! Nick had been working on his leash walking wearing a harness. The harness, his collar and leash will go home with him when he is adopted. It's so much easier working with a harness when teaching them to walk without tugging on the leash. Nick is going to make some family very happy when they adopt him. Get your application in. Puppies are NOT housebroken and should not be expected to wait more than 1 hour for each month of age to go out to potty. Please make sure that you have a “potty plan” in place if considering adoption. All of our puppies have been spay/neuter, wormed, microchipped, and given age appropriate vaccinations. If you are interested in meeting/adopting one of them just fill out a application at www.furrykidsrefuge.org, click on the 'Adopt A Dog' icon and a dedicated volunteer will be in touch.

Adopt Nicholas and Receive Nicholas's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Nicholas's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Nicholas's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Nicholas, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Nicholas's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Nicholas was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Nicholas’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Nicholas’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Nicholas’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
