Lisbon is a lovely black with white female with cute stocking feet and white on her lower jaw to tummy. Oh, don't forget that white on the tip of her tail. She loves to wag that tail. She has been getting to know house rules and having a family. Her signal that she needs to go outside is going to the back door. She has not had any accidents inside. She is learning that elk antler is better to play with than pillows from the couch. She is living with greyhound siblings and they get along great. She is food motivated, is having fun learning about treats and is a Member of the "breakfast and dinner clean bowl" club. She is very alert, curious but takes time to check out her surroundings. This is especially notice on walks and in the backyard. She doesn't pull or jump on walks with her foster mom and a house mate. She has been known to enjoy excerising the wildlife (squirrels and rabbits) in the backyard. She craves affection and checking up on her foster mom's whereabouts. She is not shy about asking for attention. We adopt within 1 1/2 mile of Kansas City.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Lisbon was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Lisbon’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Lisbon’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Lisbon’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
