About this Dog
Just slightly over 50 pounds, a mutt for sure- Morty is maybe 1.5-2 years old, neutered, up to date on his vaccinations, microchipped, kennel trained, housetrained, knows to sit and stay, walks good on a leash, knows how to use a dog door, and rides great in the car. He also does not have separation anxiety when left in a crate alone in a house. He might bark for a couple of minutes and then lays down. He is also not a barky or noisy dog but will alert you if he sees people outside the home or at squirrels. Although food motivated, he is not toy or food possessive either. The couple who fostered him had no kids and neither do we, so we can't say if he's good with children or not.
His energy level for a young dog is really overall calm and low key but still playful and fun!
Due to his short coat of fur, he hardly sheds and would be very low maintenance. He doesn't drool much either.
Morty is such a sweet boy. He deserves a good home that matches his lovely demeanor. I honestly don't think you could find a better dog if you're into snuggling and needing a companion to share your couch with!

How will Morty receive the contribution?
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Morty, thank you for providing a home and a loving family! Please begin the process of claiming Morty's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Morty was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Morty’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
What happens to unclaimed funds?
We want the Morty’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Morty’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
