About this Cat
Lucy and her siblings were born outside to a feral mother. While inside during spay recovery, Lucy would greet her foster with a hiss, but also welcomed petting. So Lucy started on her journey to be a pampered house cat! She has beautiful lynx-point siamese coloring, but neither parent is a siamese. She has pretty light colored blue eyes. She is a healthy girl who loves to run and rough-house with the other kittens. Lucy likes electronic cat toys that have feathers that move, or a laser light that bounces around – but toasting in a sunny window is also a favorite pastime. She enjoys watching the birds through the window. She does prefer her humans to be "short" – so when you are "tall" she sometimes darts around or away from you, but once you sit on the sofa or on your bed, be prepared for company. Lucy loves to be close to her foster mom. Lucy does NOT like being picked up, but really WANTS to be petted and to get as close as she can to you without you having to pick her up. She can stomp her feet and make biscuits like no other cat! Lucy will sometimes walk across her foster mom's lap -- or lay on her briefly. She will twirl around and headbutt you from the side, and sometimes you can casually curl your arm around & under her and hold her for a minute. This girl is definitely affectcionate, but because of her initial feral colony home, is a little scared to be fully picked up. Lucy is a very happy, even tempered girl who needs another cat as a companion. She likes to cuddle with her siblings – or the other foster cats. Lucy (at this point) is NOT a counter-surfer -- but is very concerned if you are in the kitchen, because it might mean you are fixing her something to eat! Because she was born in a feral colony, she did receive an ear notch when she was spayed, but we think that only adds to her character! Lucy would be a fantastic addition to anyone's family.

Adopt Lucy and Receive Lucy's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Lucy's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Lucy's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Lucy, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Lucy's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Lucy was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Lucy’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Lucy’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Lucy’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
