Meet Millie 💗 An affectionate American Bully with a heart full of love, looking for a soft place to land. Millie showed up on our doorstep in March of last year, gentle but clearly worn from a hard life. We believe she was used for breeding and had just had a litter before someone abandoned her nearby. Despite everything she’s been through, Millie is one of the sweetest souls we’ve ever met. She’s an older gal, though still full of life and spirit. Millie adores people and thrives on affection — she’s a true cuddler who wants nothing more than to be by your side. She’s incredibly loyal and clingy in the most endearing way, always following her person from room to room just to be close. Millie has a big appetite and a bigger heart. She loves to play, run, and frolic when she gets the chance. Her joy is contagious, and her gentle, expressive eyes speak volumes about the love she’s ready to give. Medical Notes: • Millie has been spayed. During her surgery, the vet removed a few spots from her mammary glands. While we couldn’t afford the testing to determine whether they were cancerous, she has remained energetic and shows no signs of illness. • She also has a prolapsed anus — it doesn’t seem to cause her discomfort right now, but it’s a condition that may need veterinary attention down the line. We believe Millie came from an abusive situation, and although she has made incredible progress, she truly deserves a calm, loving environment where she can finally relax and just be a dog. Our home is full — with three other dogs and a busy schedule — and we just can’t give Millie the one-on-one love and attention she needs and craves. Millie would do best as the only pet, or possibly with a calm and gentle dog companion. What she needs most is a person or family who can give her time, tenderness, and a forever kind of love. If you’re looking for a deeply loyal companion who will adore you with every ounce of her being, Millie is waiting — with open paws and a heart ready to heal.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Millie Rose was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Millie Rose’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Millie Rose’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Millie Rose’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
