Remington is an instigator and inquisitive. He is the cat that will stir up feelings of discontent and then manages to innocently stand by once the conflict begins. Remington is curious and prying and gets into other cat's business! He is the captain and takes the lead. However, this captain's leadership skills will sink when placed in a new environment and introduced to strange people. Remington may hide for days in his new home as he figures everything out. He will need time, patience and a safety zone to take command of his new home. Remington is a huge fan of soft food, treats and catnip. His ideal home is with an individual, couple or family with children who are not anxious about playing with a kitty in the beginning. Remington is accustomed to being around other cats and his favorite playmate is littermate Ruger. He shares his foster home with a small dog but is cautious around dogs he does not know. Remington has a buff medium length coat with white and bright orange eyes. As of April 2025, Remington is 11 months old. His adoption fee is $70. Friends of Jackson County Animal Shelter Pets (FJCASP) is a foster-based rescue for dogs and cats. All pets are in a home environment cared for by a foster person who provides temporary care until the pet can be placed in a permanent home. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Remington was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Remington’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Remington’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Remington’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
