Jinx is curious and inquisitive. He will get right to exploring and investigating new spaces until he is satisfied with the discovery. Jinx is affectionate to people who pet and caress him; he loves people. Jinx's favorite activity is chasing the red dot from a laser light and pursuing string. He loves to slumber in an area where people congregate so he can greet everyone as they walk by! Jinx is a chatterer and will mew and yap until he gets what he wants . . . and if Jinx doesn't, the yowling gets louder and angrier! He is generally a calm cat but will get into trouble if ignored too long; Jinx is young at heart -- thinking and acting like a kitten. His ideal home is with an individual, couple or family. Jinx will need time to tolerate other pets. He is not going to buddy up with them as he enjoys his own space. Jinx has a solid black medium length coat with charming hazel green eyes. He is 1 year old, and his adoption fee is $70. Jinx has a left ear tip instead of a green tattoo indicating he is neutered; however, he is not feral or a community cat. Friends of Jackson County Animal Shelter Pets (FJCASP) is a foster-based rescue for dogs and cats. All pets are in a home environment cared for by a foster person who provides temporary care until the pet can be placed in a permanent home. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Jinx was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Jinx’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Jinx’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Jinx’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
