About this Cat
Tilly came into foster care after being orphaned with her sister Tess when they were just a little over one week old. They were both in rough shape, and needed a lot of TLC. Fortunately, they were both adopted by Tallulah, a nursing momma cat who was also in foster care with her own babies. Since being in foster care, Tilly has thrived, and has grown into a sweet but shy kitten who prefers to approach life with a bit more caution rather than zeal. Tilly is very playful and curious, but she can be very reserved, and at times timid, especially when meeting new people. She often prefers to hide and observe for a bit before checking out new or different things. She is very tenderhearted and gentle with excellent house manners, but it can take her a bit to learn to trust new people in her life. However, once she feels comfortable, she can be very playful, incredibly affectionate and even a bit spunky. She loves tunnels, tents, and boxes, where she can hide out while playing. She also likes to play behind the couches and curtains, and is very good at finding places to hide. She loves catnip, and feathers, ribbons, strings, and other quiet toys because she is not a fan of loud noises or chaos. She is very smart, and is a problem solver who is currently learning tricks like sit and High Five! She adores food and snacks, and loves doing her tricks for treats, especially the squeezable kind! Tilly is also a big fan of social grooming, and loves to have her hair brushed and her back and tail scratched. She will climb all over you purring like crazy while you brush and pet her. She also seems to think that cell phones are hair brushes, so if she sees you texting or using your phone- she will soon be all up in your lap looking for a good brushing! Tilly's ideal family will be one that is calmer and quieter, with some level of predictability and routines. She would do best in a low energy, less chaotic home, and she would be ideal for anyone who wants a gentler, calmer kitty girl. Tilly has never been truly alone, so she will need time to adjust if she is going to be an only pet. She does best when she is around another gentle but confident cat or kitten, and even though she has been raised with dogs, she would probably do better in a home without highly active or barky dogs. Tilly is a beautiful tortoiseshell Domestic Shorthair, and as of January 2025, is 8 months old. Adopt Tillly and Receive Tillly's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Tillly's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Tillly's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Tillly, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Tillly's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Tillly was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Tillly’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Tillly’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Tillly’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
