About this Dog
Meet Sweetie – Your New Favorite Shadow True to her name, Sweetie is a total lovebug. At just a year old, she already has the calm, gentle presence of an old soul. She doesn’t bark unnecessarily, chew things up, or have accidents—and that alone makes her a gem in our eyes! Sweetie is a beautiful brindle Dutch Shepherd mix with soft, golden-brown eyes and a heart that just wants to be close to yours. She loves to quietly explore the yard, then settle into the shade or sit by your side for pets and company. She’s content relaxing in the garage and would make an amazing couch companion for someone looking for a calm but loyal buddy. While Sweetie is still young and needs some basic training (especially on the leash), she’s already showing promise. She’s great with both men and women, and she’s been respectful around cats—curious, but never aggressive or loud. She hasn’t been kid-tested, and she’s not yet crate-trained, but she’s eager to please and responsive to gentle guidance. Sweetie rides okay in the car and is on all her vetting, including rabies and preventatives. She’s spayed, heartworm negative, and overall healthy—just a few healing boo-boos and a blue tattoo at her spay scar. No fancy food or drool here—she’s low maintenance and full of quiet affection. This sweet girl would thrive in a home that can give her structure, affection, and time—not just to train, but to bond. She’s not overly needy but does love companionship, so she may not do well being left completely alone all the time. If you’re looking for a loyal shadow, a gentle presence, and a future best friend, Sweetie might just be the one.

100% of Sweetie's balance will be sent to whoever adopts Sweetie.
Adopt Sweetie and Receive Sweetie's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Sweetie's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Sweetie's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Sweetie, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Sweetie's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Sweetie was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Sweetie’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Sweetie’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Sweetie’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
