About this Dog
My sister, Danyel, found this dog off of Hwy 90 at the Krystals restaurant in Pascagoula, Ms. I have posted pictures along with a personal bio of what we have learned about the dog on several different websites in hopes that someone would recognize him and bring him home. Unfortunately, that hasn't happened as of yet. He has been with us for about a week. He is a sweet, outgoing, friendly dog with lots of energy:) From everything that I have learned about this breed of dog thus far, he is geared towards working. So, he will need an owner who has land and that will have time to invest in teaching him to cattle livestock and/or hunt. He loves being outdoors! I'm not sure of his age, I can only guesstimate, maybe a few years old and I only gather that information from a recent video that I watched on YouTube about how a vet can gauge a dog's age based on his teeth and other factors. He does like to chew a lot, so who ever decides to invest in him, will need to purchase him non-digestible chew toys and bones. He also isn't house broken yet. I currently don't have the funds to invest in a kennel to crate train him or invest into doggy pads, so to improvise, I have been leashing him & walking him. He does pull on a leash, but I am also working with him & teaching him how not to pull while being walked on a leash. He will sit on command, he will beg, just to beg, you don't have to tell him to, and he will give paw. His appetite is that of a healthy appetite. He has not taken to the Beneful Purina dog food. He has been eating what I eat for the most part. I've learned he likes bananas, apples, peanuts, peanut butter and ritz crackers, raisons, honey bunches of oats, deviled eggs, chicken and peen noodles, etc. I do reward him when he accomplishes a good behavior to help in the training process. I can only hope that whoever takes him in will appreciate him and will have the time to commit to make sure he gets to live a good quality life full of lots of love and attention and the exercise he needs to maintain a healthy lifestyle
