Celeste is a sweet, mild-mannered kitten whose little body is well on the mend. Her eye abscess has healed, and her bottom and tummy are recovering nicely. She’s looking healthier every day, though she’s still just a touch underweight. She adores following her foster mom around and will cry out with her soft, raspy voice if she’s alone in a room but can hear people nearby. With all the comfort and care she’s receiving, her meow may soon return to its full charm. Look at this video and another one of Celeste getting some cuddles. Celeste gets along wonderfully with the resident cats—happily accepting kisses, gentle paw touches, and shared nap spots. Lately, she’s even joined in on a little playful roughhousing! She’s also done well with people of all ages and uses her litter box perfectly. In her first two days in foster care, she even returned to her rolling catio on her own to rest on her soft bedding. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Celeste was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Celeste’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Celeste’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Celeste’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
